Cynwise’s Battlefield Manual is primarily concerned with Battleground PvP in the World of Warcraft. As such, most of the articles are in the PvP category, which can make it hard to grab what I’d consider my essential PvP posts.
Here are some I think you shouldn’t miss:

Dear Cynwise,
I think I may have found something AWESOME!! I’ve been trying to find a way to utilize the Voidwalker’s stealth detection (consume shadows ability) in battlegrounds and arena and i came up with a useful macro.
/cast Sacrifice
/cast Soulburn
/cast Summon Felhunter (or whatever pet you normally fight with)
At the start of an arena match, while guarding a node or flag by yourself, basically whenever you get that paranoid feeling, do a hard cast to get your VW out, drop a demonic circle somewhere safe and keep casting Consume Shadows which detects stealth in a 30 yard range. Once you FEAR or DEATHCOIL the intruder, you can use my macro to put the VW’s 9k bubble on yourself, and get your main pet out for the fight with one button! Its quick and finally gives us a chance to strike first! I’m pretty excited about this since locks have always been owned by friggin rogues and stealthies.
I love your website. It’s helped me become the badass warlock I am today and look forward to your response. I hope I’ve contributed to the study of Warlockery. Please let me know if you have any suggestions/comments/complaints/war stories.
Happy Corrupting,
